DJ Zinc (aka Benjamin Pettit) is a UK heavyweight drum n bass / breakstep DJ who also dabbles in breaks productions under the alias, Jammin.

Rave pioneer, godfather of breaks, TCR records head honcho, the DJ and producer who pushed breakbeat kicking and screaming into the limelight has been called many things. Thisisbreaks.com is calling him the quiet man of breaks. But is it time to make his voice heard once more?

Dead Famous will be releasing a Remix EP in the coming month. To coincide with that release, they will be hosting a remix contest for DHD's seminal slab of techfunkery, "Scene". Entries are not just limited to breaks, remixers from all musical styles are encouraged to enter.

Entrants should send all completed entries in either 320 kbps mp3 or Wav format to brokenbeatnik@yahoo.com. The deadline for entries is May 1st, 2009 and announce the lucky winners will be announced on May 11th on nuskoolbreaks.co.uk.
